CleanCatCleanCat Terms of Use
These Terms are a supplemental agreement between you and Wang Weicheng (王维城), an individual developer, concerning your download, access to, and use of CleanCat.
1. Acceptance and eligibility
By downloading, installing, purchasing, or using CleanCat, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. Do not use the app if you disagree. You must have legal capacity to enter this agreement. Minors should use the app with permission and guidance from a parent or guardian, particularly when granting Photos access or making purchases.
2. Service provider
CleanCat is provided by Wang Weicheng (王维城), an individual developer, under the mooqii name and product website. The contact email is mooqii@gmail.com. In these Terms, “we,” “us,” and “developer” refer to that individual developer.
3. App Store license
CleanCat is distributed through the Apple App Store. In addition to these Terms, your acquisition and use of the app are governed by Apple's Standard End User License Agreement. These Terms supplement CleanCat-specific functions and rules; they do not replace Apple's terms or limit non-waivable rights under applicable law. If the documents conflict on an Apple platform licensing matter, Apple's Standard EULA controls that matter.

CleanCat provides browsing, similarity grouping, text recognition, intelligent categorization, organization, deletion, hidden storage, in-app archives, iCloud sync, and membership features for photos, screenshots, and videos. Features may differ by app version, device, operating system, language, region, Photos permission, Apple Intelligence availability, and the status of Apple services.
5. Your content and permissions
You retain your rights in photos, videos, and other content. You grant the app only the permission necessary to perform the organization, analysis, archive, and sync actions you choose. You must have the right to access and process the content and must not use CleanCat to violate privacy, publicity, copyright, or other rights. The developer does not acquire ownership of your content under these Terms.
6. Automated analysis and your decisions
Similarity groups, text recognition, and intelligent categories are assistive features and may be incomplete, incorrect, or unsuitable for your judgment. You make the final choice to delete, hide, archive, or keep an item. Before deleting or removing an original from Photos, review each item, confirm that any archive is complete, and keep an independent backup of anything irreplaceable.
7. Archives, hidden storage, and sync
An in-app archived or hidden copy is separate from the original in Apple Photos. A PIN or biometric lock is not a guarantee against all access. iCloud sync is for synchronization across devices and is not an independent backup service. It does not guarantee immediate transfer, permanent retention, or recovery of every deletion. Network, Apple Account, or storage failures may delay or prevent synchronization.
8. Auto-renewable memberships
Weekly and annual memberships are auto-renewable subscriptions. The Apple confirmation screen shown before purchase controls the price, currency, billing period, trial eligibility, trial duration, and post-trial price. Apple charges your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. Unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, a subscription will ordinarily renew automatically, and Apple ordinarily charges for renewal within 24 hours before that period ends. You can view, change, or cancel in your Apple Account subscription settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
9. Lifetime membership, trials, and prices
Lifetime membership is a one-time, non-consumable purchase that provides long-term membership access to the current app and features that remain available. It is not a promise that the app, a particular feature, or an external service will remain unchanged or operate forever. A free trial is offered only when Apple determines you are eligible. If it is not canceled before it ends, the plan shown by Apple begins charging. Promotions, comparison prices, and available plans may change by region, time, and Apple pricing adjustments.
10. Restore, refunds, and taxes
You can use Restore Purchases with the Apple Account used for purchase to restore eligible access. Apple processes purchases as the transaction platform and handles refund requests under its rules and applicable law. Apple ordinarily determines displayed prices based on region and tax; the amount on the purchase confirmation screen controls. Nothing in these Terms excludes statutory refund, withdrawal, or consumer rights.

You may not use the app for unlawful activity, violate another person's rights, bypass purchase or security controls, distribute malicious code, disrupt the service, or reverse engineer, rent, resell, or sublicense the app except where applicable law expressly permits it. We may reasonably restrict clear abuse when necessary to protect users, the service, or comply with law.
12. Intellectual property
Except for your content and materials owned by third parties, the CleanCat software, interface, brand, text, graphics, and related intellectual property belong to the developer or relevant rights holders. These Terms grant a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app and do not transfer ownership.
13. Apple and third-party services
Apple provides the App Store, Photos, iCloud, CloudKit, StoreKit, system intelligence, and refund services. Their availability and operation are governed by Apple's terms. External links are provided for convenience. The developer does not control the continued availability of Apple or other third-party services but will use reasonable efforts to maintain compatibility with supported systems.
14. Updates, changes, and termination
We may update the app for security, compatibility, legal, or product-improvement reasons. Material adverse changes will be communicated as required by law. You may stop using and uninstall the app at any time, but doing so does not cancel a subscription or delete iCloud data. We may restrict the license to the extent reasonably necessary if you materially breach these Terms or if required by law.
15. Warranties and liability
We will provide the service with reasonable skill and care. To the extent permitted by law, we do not promise that automated analysis is completely accurate, that service will always be uninterrupted, or that all data can be recovered. Keep an independent backup of important media. We do not exclude liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence, personal injury, fraud, or anything else that cannot legally be excluded, and no limitation reduces non-waivable consumer rights in your location.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are generally governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, without excluding mandatory consumer protections in the place where you ordinarily live. Please contact us first to seek an informal resolution. If the matter cannot be resolved, either party may use a court with lawful jurisdiction or an applicable consumer dispute-resolution body.
17. Changes and contact
